What We Believe

The purpose of Grace Bible Fellowship is to gather believers together for fellowship and edification, to magnify and glorify the name and work of God our Father, to proclaim the gospel of Christ, to teach the Word of God, to warn the unsaved of their lost condition, to correct the wayward believer, and to comfort the stressed.

We believe the Bible to be of Divine authorship. It is God's special revelation to man; revealing Himself, His attributes, His program of redemption, revealing man in the true Divine estimation, his condition and his supreme need of salvation. We believe the Bible to be verbally inspired by God in it's original writings. In the presentation of the Word, it is to be "rightly divided" according to the principles set forth in ll Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth." See also ll Timothy 3:16-17, ll Peter 1:20-21.

We believe the God of the Bible to be the God of creation. Colassians 1:16, Titus 2:13, John 1:1, John 10:30, Deuteronomy 6:4, Acts 5:3-4.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, co-existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit (John 8:58),became true man in all things (Philippians 2:7), sin accepted (Hebrews 4:15). He was, through the virgin Mary, begotten by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:20). He was the lamb of God foreordained to die in order to put away the sin of the world. He died through crucifixtion, was buried, and rose from the dead in bodily ressurection (l Corinthians 15:4), ascended bodily into Heaven, and is the God man at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19). He is coming to gather that Church, which is His body, in the air at the termination of present dispensation (l Thessalonians 4:17).
